Almont Gallery

Almont Gallery located in Downtown Waukesha on 342 West Main St. proved to be a great gallery filled with a wide variety of art. One of my favorites created by an artist named Dana H. Larson called "Wisconsin in Spring" was my ultimate favorite done in oil paint. This might influence my work because it is from the outdoors and is very pleasing to the eye. Another artist that I learned a lot from and liked was Marcia Schneider who worked with watercolor and used a method called "Batik." Her art caught my eye with the bright poping color and the watercolor paper she used. Chuck Weber's oil paints also struck out at me for there intense realness to them. They look so real they look like a picture but have a hazy feeling to them.

Almont Gallery also has a website to view artist and their artwork called http://www.almontgallery.org/index.htm
